District Collector Priyanka on Friday inspected the ongoing preparations for the digital re-survey of land at Venkatapur revenue village in Utkoor mandal, as part of the Telangana government’s initiative to resolve land disputes and modernise land records.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the government was implementing a system of permanent land rights registration through the Bhubharati portal, using survey maps and unique Bhudhaar numbers.
She said that in the first phase, the revenue re-survey would cover 646.39 acres of land spread across 45 survey numbers in Venkatapur revenue village. The survey would be conducted comprehensively, taking into account the actual extent of land occupied and cultivated by farmers.
The Collector explained that the survey would begin with identifying the boundaries of the entire village, followed by the demarcation of Gramakantham boundaries, survey numbers of government lands and the extent of occupation of government land by individual farmers. The survey would subsequently be carried out on patta lands, taking into account the landholdings of individual farmers.
She said a Gram Sabha would be organised before the commencement of the re-survey to create awareness among the public about the process. Subsequently, announcements would be made through the traditional village public announcement system, and the survey would begin as per the prescribed procedure.
District Collector Priyanka appealed to farmers and the public to cooperate with the officials during the re-survey and furnish all necessary details and documents related to their landholdings.
Tahsildar Ashok Kumar, Surveyor Jayashankar, other surveyors, farmers and concerned officials were present.
