Jangaon MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Former Minister Satyavathi Rathod, former MLA Shankar Naik and MLC Thakkallapalli Ravinder Rao, along with other senior leaders, called on former government Chief Whip and former MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, who was injured in an alleged police attack during his visit to the MGM Hospital.
The leaders visited Vinay Bhaskar at his residence in Waddepally and enquired about his health and treatment. They strongly condemned the police action against Vinay Bhaskar, stating that he had visited the MGM Hospital on behalf of the people to assess the condition of patients and review the facilities available at the hospital.
The leaders alleged that the police had acted with excessive force while preventing Vinay Bhaskar from visiting the hospital to understand the problems being faced by patients. They said the alleged attack on a former public representative and opposition leader reflected what they described as the “undemocratic” approach of the present government.
They further alleged that the police were being used to target opposition leaders in an attempt to divert attention from the government’s failures.
The leaders demanded immediate action against the police personnel responsible for the alleged incident and called for the problems prevailing at MGM Hospital to be addressed without delay.
